Melamine Cyanurate CAS 37640-57-6 is a nitrogen contained flame retardant, Cyanuric acid melamine (MCA) is an ionic compound formed by hydrogen bonding between melamine and cyanuric acid, with a chemical formula of C ₉ H ₁ ₂ N ₁ ₂ O3, a molecular weight of 372.35, and a white crystalline powder appearance. The nitrogen content in its molecular structure is as high as 45.7%, with both acidic (cyanuric acid) and alkaline (melamine) functional groups. It achieves flame retardancy through a triple mechanism of endothermic decomposition, release of inert gases (NH3, N ₂), and formation of an expanded carbon layer. The product purity is ≥ 99%, the thermal decomposition temperature is ≥ 300 ℃, it is halogen-free, low smoke and non-toxic, and meets environmental standards such as EU REACH and US FDA. It is the preferred solution to replace traditional halogen flame retardants.
