Product Introduction:

1. Triple flame retardant mechanism, adapted to PBT combustion characteristics

Aluminum hypophosphite achieves multidimensional flame retardancy for PBT due to its flammability and high risk of melting droplets

Gas phase flame retardant: releases phosphorus containing free radicals (such as PO ·) at high temperatures, captures H · and OH · active groups generated by PBT combustion, inhibits combustion chain reactions, and reduces heat release rate (peak heat release rate can be reduced by more than 45%);

Condensed phase flame retardant: forms a ceramic like carbide layer, blocks oxygen and heat transfer, reduces PBT melt dripping (adding 12% aluminum hypophosphite can reduce the number of melt dripping by 90%);

Smoke suppression and toxicity reduction: Reduce the release of CO and aldehyde toxic gases during combustion, with a smoke density rating (SDR) of ≤ 60, improving fire safety.

2. Excellent compatibility with PBT, ensuring comprehensive performance of the product

Dispersion and processability: After surface modification with stearic acid, it is uniformly dispersed in PBT resin, with a melt index (MFR) fluctuation of ≤± 8%, suitable for high-temperature processing techniques such as injection molding and extrusion (processing temperature ≤ 260 ℃);

Mechanical performance retention rate: PBT composite materials with 10-15% aluminum hypophosphite added have a tensile strength of ≥ 80MPa (reduced by about 10% compared to pure PBT, better than the 20% reduction of traditional flame retardant aluminum hydroxide) and a bending modulus of ≥ 2000MPa, meeting the mechanical requirements of structural components;

Resistance to hydrolysis and yellowing: Stable performance in humid environments (humidity ≥ 85%), no yellowing phenomenon after long-term use, suitable for outdoor and high humidity scenarios.

3. Environmentally friendly and halogen-free, meeting strict standards

Halogen free, low VOC: free of Br and Cl elements, no corrosive gases generated during combustion, VOC content<5ppm, meeting JEDEC J-STD-035 (flame retardant material standard) for the electronics industry and ISO 3795 (combustion characteristic testing) for the automotive industry;

High flame retardant rating: When used alone, adding 12-18% can increase the flame retardant rating of PBT to UL94 V-0 level (0.8mm thickness) and increase the oxygen index (OI) to over 32%.

Sensor housing and transmission components: such as temperature sensor housing, gearbox components, added with 15% aluminum hypophosphite, passed FMVSS 302 flame retardant test, combustion rate ≤ 40mm/min, and can withstand high and low temperature cycles from -40 ℃ to 120 ℃;

Battery components: New energy vehicle battery box bracket, meets UL94 V-0 flame retardant requirements, and is resistant to electrolyte corrosion (with a performance retention rate of ≥ 95% after soaking in 30% KOH solution for 24 hours).
