Granular MCA (chemical name: Melamine Cyanurate Granules, English full name: Melamine Cyanurate Granules) is a white crystalline particle formed by hydrogen bonding between melamine and cyanuric acid, with the molecular formula (C ∝ H ₆ N ₆) ·. It achieves precise control of particle size (D50=3-8 μ m) through spray granulation process, and has the following core advantages:

-Efficient flame retardant: When the decomposition temperature is ≥ 350 ℃, nitrogen (N ₂) and water vapor (H ₂ O) are released during combustion to dilute oxygen, while a carbonization layer is generated to block heat conduction. Adding 10-15% of a single component can make the material pass the UL94 V-0 flame retardant test (1.6mm thickness).

-Environmentally friendly: halogen-free, no heavy metals, combustion smoke toxicity index (IT) ≤ 5, compliant with EU RoHS, REACH and California Proposition 65, can be used for food contact grade materials (FDA certified).

-Functional synergy: When combined with phosphorus based compounds (such as APP) and metal hydroxides (such as MDH), a "nitrogen phosphorus metal" synergistic effect is formed, reducing the total addition by 20% while increasing the oxygen index (OI) to over 35%.

China Granular MCA (Melamine Cyanurate granular) is a nitrogen contained flame retardant, Granular MCA has the advantages of halogen-free, high efficiency, low toxicity, low smoke, high thermal stability and low heat loss at 300℃. Granular MCA has the advantages of good dispersion performance, good thermal stability and high flame retardant efficiency, especially suitable for the flame retardant and dispersion of silicone rubber, polyurethane and polyamide.

Application:

Recommended to be used in conveyor belt, epoxy adhesive, low smoke halogen-free wire and cable and nylon modified compound.

Adding 12-18% to nylon PA66 can meet the flame retardant requirements of automotive engine compartment components (UL94 V-0 grade), and also pass 1500 hours of weather resistance testing (xenon lamp aging), suitable for intake manifolds and sensor housings.

Electronic connector:

Add 10-15% to PBT, combined with 5% glass fiber, with a flame retardant rating of V-0 and a dielectric constant (ε) ≤ 3.2, suitable for high-frequency signal transmission scenarios in 5G communication equipment.

Add 20-25% to EVA substrate, oxygen index ≥ 38%, smoke density rating (SDR) ≤ 25, in accordance with GB/T 19666-2005 standard, used for rail transit signal cables.

Adding 30% to silicone rubber can withstand long-term aging at 220 ℃, with flame retardant performance reaching GB/T 2408-2021 V-0 level, suitable for aerospace sealing materials.

When 8-12% polyurethane (PU) foam is added, the combustion performance reaches Grade A2 in GB 8624-2012, and the thermal conductivity is ≤ 0.022W/(m · K), meeting the passive building energy conservation standard.

Adding 25% to polypropylene (PP) and passing a 96 hour salt spray corrosion test (ISO 9227), the flame retardant performance meets the IMO FTPC Part 1 standard and is used for ship interior panels.
