Low viscosity aluminum hydroxide (chemical formula Al (OH) ∝) is a white powder prepared by a special surface modification process, with an average particle size of 2-5 μ m and an oil absorption value as low as 18-22ml/100g (traditional products ≥ 35ml/100g). Its core advantages are reflected in:
Ultra low viscosity: The modified layer reduces the friction between particles, maintains low melt viscosity in high filling systems (with an addition of 50-70%), reduces extrusion torque by 30%, and is suitable for high-speed production lines.
Efficient flame retardant: decomposition temperature of 240-320 ℃, release 3 molecules of crystalline water to absorb heat (1.96kJ/g), single component addition of 60% can make the oxygen index (OI) ≥ 30%, and the flame retardant grade reaches UL94 V-1 level.
Environmentally friendly: halogen-free, heavy metal content<10ppm, combustion products are Al ₂ O ∝ and H ₂ O, compliant with EU RoHS, REACH and Chinese GB 31604.48-2016 standards, can be used as food contact materials.

Application: Low-viscosity Aluminum Hydroxide is widely used in BMC, SMC, laminate, pouring sealant and other industries.
Add 60-70% to PP, maintain a melt flow rate (MFR) of ≥ 5g/10min, and achieve a flame retardant rating of V-1 for the product, suitable for battery casings and logistics pallets.
Adding 50-60% to PVC sheet, with an oil absorption value as low as 20ml/100g, can reduce the amount of plasticizer by 15% and improve flame retardant performance (OI ≥ 32%), suitable for building decorative panels.
By adding 50% to EPDM rubber, the extrusion speed is increased by 20%, the product rebound rate is ≥ 80%, and the flame retardant performance reaches GB/T 2408-2021 V-2 level, suitable for sealing automotive doors and windows.
