Application of ammonium polyphosphate

Ammonium polyphosphate is an inorganic polymer compound, which has a wide range of applications in fire retardant, oil reservoir recovery, water treatment and other fields. The following are the main applications of ammonium polyphosphate:

Fire retardant: ammonium polyphosphate can be used as an excellent flame retardant, widely used in the production of various plastics, rubber, fiber and other materials, making it self-extinguishing and improving the fire resistance of the material.

Oil reservoir recovery: ammonium polyphosphate is an adsorbent, which can adsorb water molecules in the oil layer in oil reservoir recovery to form hydrates, thereby reducing the relative permeability of the oil layer and increasing the output of the oil well.

Water treatment agent: ammonium polyphosphate can be used as a water treatment agent, mainly for anti-scaling and anti-corrosion treatment of boiler water, cooling water and circulating water. It can combine with metal ions such as calcium and magnesium in water to form insoluble precipitates, thereby achieving the purpose of cleaning water quality and anti-corrosion.

Fertilizer additive: ammonium polyphosphate can be used as an additive for fertilizers such as nitrogen fertilizers, which can adjust the ratio of nitrogen and phosphorus in fertilizers, improve the efficiency of fertilizers, and reduce the pollution of fertilizers to the environment.
