Production process of zinc borate

Zinc borate is usually prepared in two ways: neutralization method and hydrothermal synthesis method.

The steps of preparing zinc borate by neutralization method are as follows:

Prepare boric acid and zinc salt.

Add boric acid powder to water and stir until dissolved.

Add zinc salt to boric acid solution and add sufficient sodium hydroxide (NaOH).

Stir the mixture to complete the neutralization reaction.

Screen out the solid product and wash it with water.

Dry the zinc borate product.

The steps of preparing zinc borate by hydrothermal synthesis method are as follows:

Prepare boric acid and a certain concentration of zinc hydroxide solution.

Mix the boric acid and zinc hydroxide solution evenly and put them into a reactor.

Prepare zinc borate by hydrothermal method. Heat the reactor to a certain temperature and pressure for hydrothermal reaction.

After the reaction is completed, cool the mixture in the reactor to room temperature.

Screen out the solid product and wash it with water.

Dry the zinc borate product.
